These two additional programmes are designed for players who want to engage in extra training led by Coastal Spirit Community Coaches. The focus is on developing fundamental technical skills at an early stage, while ensuring that every session is centred around having FUN. Our aim is to create an enjoyable environment where players can build their skills and their love for the game simultaneously.

Term 2 - $50 for 10 weeks

  • When: Wednesdays, starting Term 2, 2026 (21/4/26 - 23/6/26)

  • Who: Players aged 3-7 years old

  • Why: To learn, grow, and most importantly—have FUN!

  • TIME: 3–5-year-olds 4:30pm till 5:20pm - 5–7-year-olds 5:30pm till 6:20pm

  • Where: Legacy Community Centre (56 Bassett Street)

PRE-ACADEMY JUNIOR SKILLS CENTRE REGISTRATION

Cost: $72 (8 weeks of football) plus free World Cup Junior Holiday session in the school holidays

Start Date: Monday 4th May 2026 (no session on Kings Birthday public holiday)

End Date: Monday 29th June 2026

The Otakaro FC Pre-Academy Skills Centre continues on Mondays. All aspiring Junior players welcome to improve their skills and develop their game!

Many of the Otakaro FC Youth Talent Development players have been through the Skills Centre, with 15 players now named as "players of interest" in the Wellington Phoenix ID Development Programme.

The "Golden Years" of learning are from age 9 to 12 years, so get registered and developing your game with our quality coaches in an enjoyable and safe environment on the astroturf, where we wont be rained-off! The more touches of the ball, the better you will be!
