First Kicks - Fun Football

We have a range of programmes for Juniors starting for 3-4 years and 5–7-year-olds
The Mini First Kicks, First Kicks and Fun Football Programmes are run by Coastal Spirit as part of NZ Football’s Whole of Football Framework. It is designed to assist school-age players to develop the basic soccer skills through direct coaching, fun practice and games.
Players enjoy an hours worth of games against players of similiar ages as themselves.
Players need to bring their own shorts, socks and shin pads. The club provides players with a playing shirt.
Early engagement into the game should be encouraged as it is necessary to reach excellence. This initiation phase is to allow the children to discover the game, provide for learning basic fundamental movement skills and create positive football experiences.

Mini First Kicks – 3 – 5 year olds $80.00
First Kicks – 5 – 7 year olds $80.00
Registrations for mini kicks, first kicks or fun football will open early in 2026.

Eastern Junior Football Hub
This program is for 8- & 9-year-olds
The Eastern Junior Football Hub is a combined program run by Coastal Spirit FC, Burwood AFC, Western AFC and Parklands.
The clubs have come together to have all 8th and 9th Grade football at one location. This location being Cuthberts Green, meaning for our club members they aren’t having to travel anywhere other than our home ground for their games.
The program will run from 9:30am till 12:00pm each Saturday., following the same dates as First-Kicks< please see below:

How it works?
Teams will be set either through our school program or through our grading period and the teams will stay the same for the season.
Sessions will run every Saturday, as seen above, and will last for 70 minutes for both age groups.
8th Grade runs from 9:30am till 10:40am
9th Grade runs from 10:50am till 12:00pm
Training for both 8th and 9th Grade will be run by our Director of Football and will take place at Linfield Park on Tuesdays, running from 4:30pm till 5:30pm.
