Men's 1st Team Coach
20 December 2009
The club is proud to announce Paul Hughes as the new Division 1 Men's Head Coach for 2010. Paul, a long time servant of Rangers AFC will work with the assistance of Gareth Turnbull and Korouch Monsef whilst he finishes his formal qualifications. The club is pleased to be in a situation where we are able to appoint such a high calibre coach from within the club. This is a statement that the club is committed to providing internal pathways for its coaches network and senior players to take up appointments within the club. Preseason training dates will be published early next week.
Coaches' Network
19 November 2009
CSFC is proud to announce the creation of a coaching pathway program that will support, develop and guide selected coaches and key teams throughout the club as they move forward in football. This new initiative will complement our existing player pathway program. To facilitate this, the club has appointed Korouch Monsef for 10 hours per week to work with our promising junior, youth and senior coaches and give them the best opportunity and environment to fulfill their potential. Work will start next month and continue throughout the year. For more information, contact gareth@linfield.co.nz or Ph. 389-3007.

Coastal Spirit - U-19 Girls South Island Champions
Coastal Spirit are the inaugural Tsunami U-19 Girls South Island Champions. After a busy, enjoyable weekend of football at Bexley, a 6-0 thumping of Waimak in the Final capped an unbeaten tournament for our A team - although there was almost a scare in the quarter-finals when a penalty shoot-out was needed to separate Coastal Spirit A and Coastal Spirit B (who finished 6th). Monique Barker (Coastal Spirit A) was named Girls Tournament MVP.
In the boys Tsunami South Island U-19 Tournament, Western retained their title, beating Burnside 1-0 in the Final, after defeating Coastal Spirit A (who finished 7th) in the quarter-final. Coastal Spirit B finished 10th. Mickey Willis of Western was Boys Tournament MVP. Hornby boys won the Fair Play award.
