2010 Pre-season Training
Senior Men's (Div 1 and Reserves) Preseason Training
The club is calling a meeting of all players interested in competing for the men's first team or reserve men's teams Sunday 24th January 2010, 1pm at Linfield Sports (56 Kearney's Rd). This meeting will outline the structure of the preseason, key dates and expectations as well as the direction the coaching staff and club are wanting to head towards. Attendance is expected.
Official pre season training will commence Tuesday 26th January 6.30pm start at Eric Adam Park. Training days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings (10-11am).
Senior Men's preseason tournament commences 2 March. The reserve men's tournament commences 6th March.
The Div 1 competition starts 3rd April, with the PDL competition starting 10th April.

Men's 1st Team Coach

The club is proud to announce Paul Hughes as the new Division 1 Men's Head Coach for 2010. Paul, a long time servant of Rangers AFC will work with the assistance of Gareth Turnbull and Korouch Monsef whilst he finishes his formal qualifications. The club is pleased to be in a situation where we are able to appoint such a high calibre coach from within the club. This is a statement that the club is committed to providing internal pathways for its coaches network and senior players to take up appointments within the club. Preseason training dates will be published early next week.

2009 Sunday League CHAMPIONS
Coastal Spirit A beat Coastal Spirit B 3-1 to give the As the Sunday League title (2nd consecutive season as Coastal Spirit) with a round still to play.

Men's 4 and Men's 5 each win double
Coastal Spirit have completed a 2009 double-double in Divisions 4 and 5, with the teams each respectively winning both their League titles and League Cups.
Bolam Cup SF: Coastal Spirit 2 Glenbyre 1

Men's Division 1 Cup:
Coastal Spirit beat Waimakariri 7-0, drew 1-1 with Avon, and beat Parklands 8-0 in Group A of the League Cup. Coastal Spirit beat Cashmere 1-0 in the Final on Sunday 2 August 2009 at 2pm at Bexley.
Fixtures and Results for League Cup
English Cup:
Coastal Spirit won 2-0 at Avon United in Round 1 of the 2009 English Cup - the Canterbury knock-out for men's first teams. Two first-half goals to Jason Stapley saw CSFC through to the Quarter-Finals - where Coastal Spirit were leading 3-0 after half an hour against MPL side Ferrymead Bays, but eventually lost 3-5 after extra time.

Chatham Cup:
Coastal Spirit beat Christchurch Boys' High School 4-0 in Round 1 of the Chatham Cup - the national knock-out for men's teams. Spirit lost to top MPL team Woolston Technical 1-3 in Round 2, Monday 1 June 2009 at Bexley. New Brighton reached the Cup Final in 1969 and Rangers were Finalists in 1993.

6 March 2010 - 28 March 2010, Bexley
2009: Coastal Spirit won Group A and ahead of Halswell (2-2), Ferrymead Bays (1-1) and Burnside (2-1). In the Semi-Finals on Tuesday 10 March 2009, Coastal Spirit lost 2-3 to Christchurch United and an even more youthful than usual Spirit team lost the 3rd place playoff to Ferrymead bays 1-4. The Final was won by Woolston Technical who beat Christchurch United 3-1.

The Men's Development Tournament was won by Woolston Technical with Coastal Spirit finishing 4th.
